Not too long ago, I had just finished putting together my online portfolio. Before working on my online portfolio, I did not know much about it and now I feel I am above average in putting together an awesome portfolio. The process I went through was the same one that I apply to every new challenge I approach.
1. First, I searched for existing information on the specific area I was tackling. I read up on everything related to that area.
2. Second, I looked for really good examples of how the people with the best portfolios did theirs. I carefully went over the placement of their work and how they worded their sentences.
3. Third, I wrote down my goals for my website, who my audience was, how did I want it to feel, and how would I measure success.
4. Finally, I went through different sketches/concepts before I actually designed and coded the site. I also had different people review and test it in order to make sure there were no usability problems.

Yes, You are right portfolio shows, what is your capability and what work you done in past. From portfolio easy to know that how person is experience in particular field. So, Portfolio should stunning that represent your work and you. Nice article thank you for sharing it.
