When I first heard about Squidoo, I thought it was another one of those social networking site that popped up with nothing interesting to add. But once I heard that Seth Godin was CEO of the company, I started listening very closely. I have read three of Seth Godin’s book so when the man does something, it has to be for a pretty damn good reason.
If you haven’t heard, Squidoo is basically a website that has these lens (one pages) that cover a certain expertise someone has and decided to make a lens on. They can be very in depth and contain a lot of resources. You can make your own lens or search through what other people have made in order to learn something that you are interested in. They are a good way of sharing what you are passionate about and gaining some publicity as well.
I decided to give it a try and focused on the area of blog designs. I spent about 6 hours including all the resources I could at that time, organized it into a useful structure, provided links to resources, gallery of good blog designs, and book recommendations from what I have read on the subject. Check it out on my Squidoo page
