These are great designs and I especially loved http://www.webdesignerwall.com/ but the main problem about designing my blog is finding great graphics which are also free-to-use. I will end up paying for the graphics in the end because I hate using imperfect material in my blog; I get tired of them in 2 days tops.

What do you recommend me about finding graphics?

35 Photo Matt is my personal favorite.
It has many unique features other than the obvious great graphic and yet loads in a flash.
Now ,of course ,everyone has their own taste and I had to click on each site to open it to judge because the short screen shots do none of them any justice.Combining ‘look-appeal’ (my descript.) with ease of navigation,functionality and above all ,purpose,that being presenting desired content,is the key for any blog to succeed.
Now that I have tweaked my own blog and am nearly finished,I just need the most important ingredient which is my own quality content to not only garner traffic but also to entice others to comment and post.I know a few authority figures and know of many,many more and with designs as shown above and my own we should be able to establish ourselves as well.
